Salan (not salna)

Ingredients :

Vegetable of your option - like Squash,Banana pepper,onion,eggplant 
Using stock :
Stock used to cook briyani in my shrimp Briyani recipe  - 2 cups
If no stock use water

Briyani Masala or Garam Masala - 1 tsp
ghee - 1 tsp
cardamom  - 2 pods
Cloves - 2 
Cinnamon Stick - 1
BayLeaf - 1
salt - as needed 
Chilly Pd - 1 tsp
Tamarind paste - 1/2 tsp
Jaggery - 1 tsp

For grinding:

Roasted Peanut - 1 tbsp
Roasted Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
Lightly toasted coconut flakes - 1 tbsp

Method:

Grind the ingredients listed in "For grinding" into a fine paste with water.
1.In a pan add ghee and add whole spices and then  add vegetable of your choice and give a stir.Add Jaggrey.
2.Then add Garam Masala or briyani Masala Chilly pd ,stir for 2 min then add water /stock and let it come to boil.
3.Add Tamarind  paste and ground paste and needed salt.

4.Let it come to boil and switch off flame and serve hot with briyani.
