I know its twice in a row that too in a week i am showing a fried item.Usually i will think twice to fry an item. But today the leftover oil in frying pan after frying pooris called me to use it before pouring it back into the bottle(Laziness i guess).

Not only that i bought a head of cauliflower 3  days back and i been thinking what to make with it.Its been long since i had gobi(cauliflower) fry which i adore a lot.So i used this chance as oil is there, cauliflower is there, craving for fried cauliflower is there and we are there so what reason more we want just dip florets in batter and fry them.So i have to mark my diet to use less oil coming days to compensate all these fried items.

Apart from guilt and worries about eating fried items this dish turned out to be awesome and tasty.Me and kumar just pick one or two and put it in our mouth while crossing the kitchen. To tell about my little one he just spits it out i think kids don't like the texture of cauliflower in their mouth at this age.So its in my to-do list to find a recipe to make him love cauliflower either grated or shredded, story about that will be for my future post once i succeed in that attempt....

Ingredients :

Cauliflower - 1 , wash and seperate florets to bite size
Rice flour - 4 tbsp
Gram flour / chickpea flour - 2 tbsp
Salt - as needed
Chilly pd - 1/2 tsp, add extra for more spicyness
MSG / taste maker - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Water - to make batter
Oil - to fry cauliflower

Method :

1.Take a bowl and add all dry ingredients except cauliflower and mix well.

2.Add water little by little to make a semi thick batter.

3.Heat oil in a frying pan to medium hot.
4.Dip florets in batter one by one and add to the oil , try one floret first and do a taste check and add if any seasoning needed.

5.Fry all florets and strain oil and place in napkin ti absorb any more excess oil.

6.Have as a tea time snack or as a side dish with a meal.
