Vendaikai Gotsu

Gotsu is an excellent recipe that goes well with ven pongal , rice upma, idly and dosa.Gotsu is made in different way by different people. This is one of the authentic brahmin recipe from tamil nadu, and the main flavour comes from sesame seeds. Your house will smell yummy when this is being made.Usually gotsu can be made with or without dal.If you don't use dal it's little runny if you like that way don't add dal, but if you are like me who expects some thickness in the gravy and in the mean time give some extra protein value to the dish go ahead and add dal. There are various types of gotsu like brinjal gotsu, okra gotsu, yam gotsu, onion gotsu etc.Basically any vegetables which has the tendency to mush up easily can be used to make gotsu.
I am hoping you will love this recipe and even if you love extremely much, just go ahead and add this gotsu Podi to all kind of poriyal you make to give the excellent aroma running inside your home whenever you use this in recipes.
Enjoy...
