Home Made Tomato Ketchup
Does your kid dig into ketchup bottle and are you worried about the preservatives , loaded sugar and chemicals in it. But don't want to prevent your kid from stop eating food which is going well with the influence of ketchup. Don't you worry here I found a way to recreate ketchup and you won't especially your kid won't find the difference , may be color might be less red but if you are interested use kashmiri chilly which will help you with that problem.So make this wonderful ketchup recipe and surprise your kids and family by putting this in empty ketchup container and have fun to see how they just dig in without realizing it's you who created that sauce....
Ingredients :
Coconut oil - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 cup chopped
Tomato medium - 2 chopped
Red Dry Chilly - 3 or 4 for extra spicy (i used small variety the round one)
Garlic cloves - 3 sliced
Tamarind paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 cup chopped
Tomato medium - 2 chopped
Red Dry Chilly - 3 or 4 for extra spicy (i used small variety the round one)
Garlic cloves - 3 sliced
Tamarind paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Method :
1.Take a pan and add oil and add urad dal and saute it min then add red chillies and onions, garlic, turmeric and saute for 2 min till onions are translucent.
3.Grind it in a blender once it's cooled off by adding tamarind paste and sugar and add seasoning if any needed.
4.Add a tbsp or 2 of water if needed but don't add too much water.
5.Serve it with dosa or bread or with noodles.
This is one tasty ketchup you will love forever.
