The one thing that is spend mostly in my home is Apple Sauce,My little one loves it.Sometimes i buy it sometimes i make my own if i have lot of apples at home.Today i am in later situation.I bought this GrannySmith apples at grocessary for just $2 for 10 apples, isnt it cheap. So homemade apple sauce is a treat for my little and big one too.I make this recipe in slow cooker which make it even more interesting and simpler.Just in one pot the entire recipe is made with no man work required.

Ingredients:

Apple - 8 no or use as much it will fit into your slow cooker.
Brown Sugar - 100 gms (if you are using sweet apples don't need them.Sometimes i use palm sugar(Karupatti), jagrrey according to the mood )
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 big stick
Bay leaf - 2 no
Cloves - 3
Cardamom -3

Method:

1.Peel Apples(if you are feeding infant or toddler, because it can be little tough for them to chew) core them and cut into quarters and put it in slow cooker with whole spices and salt and let it cook on high for 4 hrs or at low for 8 hrs. After 4 hours remove lid ,it must in the form of puree,no need to use blender at all. However if you use skin then you may need blender to puree them.Use a wooden spoon to mix them add salt and sugar.
Store them in a airtight bottle and store in refrigerator.Thats it.

Just like store bought apple sauce, isn't it?
