Turnip Cabbage Dalsa

Dalsa is one of the gravy that goes well with Briyani .This is a gravy made with channa dal and vegetables.Usually vegetables like Brinjal/ egg plant , Drumstick goes well with this dish. But other vegetables can also be used.

Here we need to use mixture of two dals / Lentils ,basically Channa Dal in addition to that any other Dal like masoor dal or moong Dal.
I used channa dal and Moong dal Combination.
Actually I have left over cabbage Dal Made in refrigerator,so instead of making new moong Dal i added the left over Cabbage Dal to this recipe. But i am going to give the ingredients for whole recipe, but in picture i will tell where i added the Moong dal.

4.Then add turnip ,tomato and cabbage ,mix them well.
5.Then add Channa Dal and Moong Dal and add 2 cups of water and let it cook for 10 whistles. As channa Dal Takes long time to cook.

8.Mixing all Dal together ,add salt and make it into a thick gravy consistency. Finally Squeeze lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
Dalsa is ready to serve with Briyani .This goes well with Chapathi and white rice also.
