Ingredients:


1 cup Raw Brown Rice boiled with salt
Coconut - 1 cup Shredded 

For Tempering:

Coconut oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Channa Dal - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilly - 4 nos
Curry Leaf - 1 sprig
Cashews or almonds or Pista or peanuts - 2 tbsp
Hing - a pinch

Method:

To cook brown Rice this is what i do , Take 2 cups of water in a pan and add 1/2 to 3/4  tsp of salt and raw cleaned brown rice and keep it in flame let it come to one boil,lower flaem to low and cook for 20 min,After 20 min ,open lid and cook in medium low without cover till all the water is evaporated and give it a gentle fluff .
1.Take a pan and add oil and add all the tempering ingredients one by one till its roasted and light crisp,then add coconut and saute it in low flame till the coconut gets an light brown color throughout uniformly.Then add brown rice little by little and incorporate it gently along with tadka mixture and heat it uniformly until its toasty.
Add salt if only needed.
Serve with Aviyal and papadam.
