Besan Ladoo / ChickPea Flour Ladoo
For 1 Ladoo:
1 1/2 cup chickpea flour
4 Tbsp shredded coconut(dried small flakes , optional)
2 Tbsp Ghee
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup raw sugar granulated(i used this to give a crunchy bites of sugar in each ladoo)
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp nutmeg powder
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp coconut milk / Almond Milk / Milk ( i used almond milk)
Add chickpea flour to a pan and Dry roast for 5 minutes on low heat. stir once or twice.
Add coconut flakes and ghee, Mix well and roast for 15 minutes.
Press down and mix well every 3-4 minutes.Keep in low flame though or it may burn quickly.
Add both sugar, salt and spices and mix well. Roast on another 3 minutes.
Sprinkle almond milk on the mixture and mix.
If the mixture doesnt comes together add a few drops more.
(You can add enough to make one big lump to make it easier to shape)
Take off heat. Let cool for a minute or so until warm to handle.
Make balls of the mixture,use tablespoon to measure out balls to be uniform size. Press crushed cashew or pistachios or raisins on top if needed.
While making balls dip your hand slightly with milk to make balls if needed.
