Whenever I visit my relations in Nagercoil, i used to get the Rasa Vadai from a famous restuarant in bus Stand . The vadai used to melt in the mouth along with the flavor of  rasam. My mom used to make the same recipe and we all love it.I didnt go through all the steps to make vadai ,I bought the store bought one and added to my Rasam.Lot of Restuarants serve "Medhu Vadai" in rasam as 'Rasa Vadai' but that is not the original "Rasa Vadai'.For Rasa vadai i would prefer to use the 'Parupu Vadai' instead of the medhu vadai.


Frozen paruppu vadai / or make vadai - 1 package / 12 no
Turmeric Pd - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 3 tbsp
cumin seeds -3 tbsp
pepper whole - 2 tbsp
chilly flakes - 2 tbsp
garlic clove -1 with skin pounded
coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Tomato - 2 diced
water - 4 cup
lemon juice - 4 tbsp

Grind coriander seeds,cumin seeds ,pepper whole,chilly flakes to one or two pulse and add them to pot...
Then add 4 cups of water ...turmeric pd , tomatoes,salt  and let it come to one single boil...then add lemon juice and coriander leaf and add vadai's and cover and let it sit for 30 min....serve hot
