Congee With Sambar

I made Sambar and Potato Poriyal on wednesday,we didn't have that much appetite that day,so there comes lot of leftovers......but still we couldn't finish it on  thursday as we filled our selves with lot of snacks....so friday i decided this is going to repeat once again,so tried to make my own concession and made this congee....this got finished with in 5 min after i brought it to table....so try this delicious congee if left overs are troubling your space in fridge...try this with any south Indian curries and vegetables...take this recipe as a guide line and try to make your own and surprise your family members and your self.


Cooked Rice - 2 cups 
Sambar - 1 cup
Poriyal  -1/4 cup
Spicy Pickle - Preferably mango or lime 1 tbsp
Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Water - 3 cups
salt - if needed.


1.Take a big bowl (it should fit all the contents together).

2.Add Rice ,Then sambar.

3.Then Poriyal

4.Then Pickle

5.Add water and mix it well.Then add yogurt.

6.Mix well.

7.Add extra water and little salt, if u feel its necessary.

8.Delicious congee is ready.Enjoy it together under moon light .(NilaChoru - Called in tamil)


Try this congee with pulikari ,vatal kuzhambu , rasam , moar kuzhambu , poriyal ,aviayal....i prefer it in South Indian Recipes,never tried it in any other recipes.But if u do so tell me.
