Chicken Kebab With Persian Puloa

A wonderful fluffy rice cooked in persian style with Spicy kabob and spicy creamy yogurt....and baked tomato...(like persian style)

About Kebab:

Kebab (also called kebapkabab and kabob) is a traditional dish of sliced meat originating in the Middle East and later adopted in Central Asia and by the regions of the former Ottoman Empire, before spreading worldwide. In American Englishkebab with no qualification refers to shish kebab (Turkishşiş kebap) cooked on a skewer, whereas in Europe it refers to doner kebab, sliced meat served in a pita. In the Middle East, however, kebab refers to meat that is cooked over or next to flames; large or small cuts of meat, or even ground meat; it may be served on plates, in sandwiches, or in bowls. The traditional meat for kebab is lamb, but depending on local tastes and religious prohibitions, other meats may include beefgoatchickenpork or fish. Like other ethnic foods brought by travellers, the kebab has remained a part of everyday cuisine in most of the Muslim world. It is also popular among Western youth as a snack after a night-out.

Kebab Recipe:

Chicken - 2 lb
Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Any cheese shredded - 1/2 cup - crumble it together to a paste and add (I didn't add cheese here because i didn't have any)
Meat Tenderiser  - 1 tbsp
Chilly Paste or Chilly garlic paste coarse - 2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic - 1/2 tsp each
Oil - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Chilly garlic sauce - 1 tbsp
Salt - as needed(Chilly garlic sauce  and meat tenderiser has salt ,so add carefully)

1.Cut chicken breast to big sizes, about a size of two lemons together...Don't go too big too,it won't cook the same time dont go small, chicken will dry by heat of skewer.Cut it in size as shown.

2.Mix chicken with all ingredients and let it sit in refrigerator for atleast 2 hrs.
3.Put chicken in greased skewers and Put in broiler high for 15 min on second top rack....or 400 degree in top second rack for 30 min or until the liquid runs clear from chicken instead of pink color.

To serve kabob:(optional):

Mix 1/2 cup yogurt with 1 tbsp chilly garlic sauce and top it over chicken pieces and serve it...

To Bake Tomato:

Take a tomato in a greased aluminum foil and cover the foil tightly around the tomato and put it in broiler high for 20 min...u can add some chilly powder or salt along the tomato if needed...But it taste really good as is....
