Ingredients:
1 tsp coconut oil
12 oz chicken thighs
1/2 medium yellow onion, diced small
3 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
1/2 medium red bell pepper, seeded and diced small
1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed italian tomatoes
1 to 2 tbsp hot-pepper sauce,according to the spice level needed
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses
8 hamburger buns / Pita Breads for heathy option
12 oz chicken thighs
1/2 medium yellow onion, diced small
3 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
1/2 medium red bell pepper, seeded and diced small
1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed italian tomatoes
1 to 2 tbsp hot-pepper sauce,according to the spice level needed
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses
8 hamburger buns / Pita Breads for heathy option
Salt as needed
Method:
1.Take oil on the pan and brown chicken thighs on both sides.Keep them aside.
2.In the same pan add onions ,garlic and peppers and saute them by deglazing the brown bits from pan.3.Add Chicken and add all the other ingredients to a slow cooker,along with roasted peppers and onions.
4.Cook on low for 8 hrs and high for 4 hrs.Then take a wooden spoon and shredded the chicken as it is very well cooked it will be easy to shred them with wooden spoon itself but you can use fork too,in that case remove it from slow cooker and then shread it or you will scratch the slow cooker.
5.Serve it as a sliders in hamburger buns with onions and avocados or use Pita Pocket breads for low calorie and healthy option.
