White Fried Rice - IndoChinese
I am a big fan of Indo Chinese Food ,today i tried fried rice but as a nothingiscooking's twist i made fried rice in two different rice ,white and black rice,so i am going to post both of them here ,cooking method is same only the ingredients differ.I added carrot , white cabbage , peas for white fried rice and to give extra color boost to black fried rice(which is exactly not black purple) so i added purple cabbage ,white cabbage and peas.
To give a non-veg touch i added eggs.So why dont you try this simple and all time fav food.
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 1/3 cup (Raw),Cook it and keep it aside
Olive oil - 1 tsp
Spring Onions - 3 ,diced (keep white part and green part separately)
Garlic cloves - 5 ,sliced
Carrot - 1/4 cup diced
White Cabbage - 1/2 cup shredded
Peas - 1/4 cup
White / Black Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Soy sauce - 1/2 tbsp
MSG / Ajinomoto -1/4 tsp (optional)
Eggs - 2
Method:
1.Take a big saute pan and add a tsp of olive oil,then add chopped garlic and white part of scallions and saute them a min.Don't over saute garlic will become bitter.1 min is enough.
2.Then add carrot ,cabbage and peas and saute them for 3 to 4 min,they should be tender but yet little cooked.Don't overcook the vegetables.
3.Then add white pepper pd,you can also use black pepper.Then add msg.Then soy sauce.Saute them very well.Then its time to add eggs.(optional)
4.Move the vegetables on the side and add two eggs in the center and spread it thin and make a scrambled egg,then mix the gg with vegetables.Eggs should be in tiny pieces so break them if they are big pieces.
5.Now add cooked rice to the pan and break the rice and mix well with veggies and eggs.
6.Keep the flame is high for 3 min and keep stirring to give a little crisptexture to rice(optional)
7.Finally Garnish with the green part of scallion and give a stir and saute for 1 min ,then remove from stove and serve hot.
