ThurDhal Curry

Kerela Style Dhal Curry with coconut

Ingredients:

Masoor Dhal - 1/2 cup
Coconut flakes - 1/4 cup
Jeera - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Pd - 1 tsp
Chilly Pd - 1 tsp
Curry leaf - 5  + 1 sprig
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds -1 tsp

Method:


Grind coconut,jeera,5 curry leaf to a coarse paste...

Take a pressure cooker add dhal,turmeric pd , chilly pd,grind mixture and 1 1/2 cup water and pressure cook for 5 whistles...

Once the pressure release on its own open the lid...

Take a pan add oil ,mustard seeds , curry leaf then pour this tadka over the dhal....add salt and mix and  do a taste check....serve hot over white rice...
