Puttu and kadala curry is one of  the famous recipe of kerela....



Ingredients:


Garbanzo Beans / Chick Peas - 2 cans / 28 Oz / 2 cups cooked
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cloves - 3
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 1"
Bay leaf - 1
StarAnise - 1
Onions - 1 med size sliced
Green Chillies - 2 slit
CurryLeaf - 1  sprig
Turmeric Pd - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 diced
Garam Masala - 2 tbsp(check my garam masala recipe- use this only to get exact kerala taste)
Coriander Leaves - 3 tbsp chopped
Lemon juice - 1 tsp

Method:


1.Take a pan add oil add whole spices then add onions,green chillies, curry leaf ,turmeric pd and saute them very well.
2.When onions are translucent,add tomatoes,when tomatoes are well cooked add Garam Masala ,salt and cook with little water till its raw smell is gone.
3.Then add garbanza beans then add water to cover it and cook them until spices are well blended,then add lemon juice.
4.Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
