Gulab Jamun Recipe From Scratch
Who doesn't like gulab jamun...if u never tried it,u should...its like eating clouds dipped in syrup....if u cant find it ...try this recipe....u can't go wrong in this recipe and u will get a perfect roundules of jamun like the ones in shop.....
For 35 Jamun
Ingredients:

Water - 2 cups
Green Cardamom crushed - 4
Saffron threads- 1 pinch
Rose water - 1 tsp(optional)
Milk Mawa Powder (fine one),if u have coarse one grind it to a very fine powder in mixer- 1 cup
All Purpose Flour - 8 tbsp
Melted Butter - 4 tbsp
Milk - 6 tbsps
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Mix all ingredients in syrup and Keep it in a pan on stove and let sugar completely dissolves ,Switch off flame or put it low flame.
Sieve and Mix all ingredients listed under dough ingredients and it should be a soft dough,let it sit for 5 to 10 min.
Then heat a pan with oil for deep frying jamun and let it be medium hot(important: don't let heat go more than that,jamun won't fry properly,it will break).
Make small roundels of the dough(it will swell so make it to small roundels) and fry in it oil till its uniformly brown in color on all sides.
Take it out and drain oil in paper towel,once u fried all roundels...switch on back sugar syrup and let it come to one boil .
Place all roundels in a tray(little bigger than fit size because jamun will swell) and pour hot syrup on top of the jamuns,.let it sit for few minutes.
Jamun will absorb mostly all of the syrup.Serve it with kheer or ice cream or as is.
